On Saturday, September 18th 2010, Bar None Auction will conduct a historic public auction event in San Bernardino, giving members of the general public a once-in-a life-time opportunity to claim their very own piece of American automotive history.

Select pieces available for public bid at the event will include an exquisite collection of museum quality vintage cars and trucks, some of which were owned by Glen W. Bell, Jr.; legendary entrepreneur and businessman known Worldwide as the founder of the Taco Bell restaurant chain.

The year was 1948 that Mr. Bell opened his first restaurant, Bell's Drive- In, in San Bernardino, California. It was the early start of what was to become a globally successful fast food empire, gaining iconic notoriety similar to the classic signs that mark historic Route 66. The culture of cruising was booming and drive-in restaurants, along with the classic automobiles of that time in American history, helped to shape and define a generation.

The Bell Family has allowed Bar None Auction the opportunity to include this collection in this one time public sale, and you are invited to attend.

A few highlighted pieces featured in this public sale are a 1926 Mack Bulldog Tanker, 1923 Chevrolet Superior Touring Car, 1936 Seagrave Fire Apparatus, 1920 White C-Cab Flatbed Truck, and a 1917 Garford Chassis.

Bar None Auction will be on hand at this year's 21st Annual Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous in Downtown San Bernardino. The display will be located in front of the City Hall Building where D Street and 3rd Street meet, and Auction Representatives will be available to answer questions from participants and attendees alike regarding the sale.

The auction will be on Saturday, September 18th, at 175 West Central Ave., San Bernardino, CA 92408, and will be featured adjacent of the regularly scheduled Commercial Truck & Heavy Equipment themed public auction held at the same location on the same day.
